So long farewell

Ok, think I will blog in English again to save time.

Well, today was the last of the official school as we have our farewell assembly thins morning…….

Talking about the farewell, it is a while more before we really exit the doors of Victoria Junior college as we must off course still go back there for a round of A level exams and to collect results slip…..so it is not really a farewell huh? Have you ever watched the famous musical called “The Sound Of Music”? Well, when I think of farewell, I kind of think of the children of the general in the movie presenting a farewell song exit into the night…….

Well, after 2 years in VJ, I guess it all comes down to this huh? Time flies and waits for no man. In this 2 years, people make acquaintances with a lot more people and some of this acquaintances progress to real friendship or even beyond. Well, it just seems like all these are going to fade away into some part of our memory or some parts of our heart. At least that is what I think of quite a number of people. All I can hope for is that I remember this class of 03S18 as long as possible as I kind of forget people that cross my paths kind of quickly if not kept in constant close contact. I always say, and this is true, for my sec 3 to sec 4 class, I took a year and a half to know the other 39 students in my class, remember them for half a year and forget them in about 2 years time? Not that I totally forget but that the name and the face no longer come together as one entity any more. Sad right?

Well, the assembly was generally enjoyable. This band dedicated 2 songs to us. The first one was some song from jet but half of the song can’t be heard clearly as the speaker of the guitars were facing the guy with the mike, making him nearly inaudible. The secong song was much nicer, Bee Gees “Run To Me”. Then there was some watermelon eating competition where initially the teachers of the various houses and the year 2 captains were suppose to eat half watermelons blindfolded and without any hands. The funny part was how the teachers tried to describe their eating capabilities. “I always go and eat buffets”, “I haven’t eaten since last night”, “Grow”(Mr Chow Siew Feng imitating the bear growling since he relates to his house Ursa’s bear very well), “Haha…..no need to say already”(this other plum Indian female teacher(forgot her name)holding the mike and laughing a the ‘bear’ and laughing at herself), “we’ll try our best”, “it’s not about the size of the person it’s about the size of the mouth”. In the end the teachers pleaded and were granted to be out of the eating part of the competition but had to feed their respective year 2 reps. Later on we also saw how the principle could rise up to such a competition. Then there was this short play the year 1 captains put up, trying to represent how the years 2s of today will meet up several years down the road and recall about some stupid stuff. There was about the over-enthusiastic mass-dancer, nearly got quarantined for having too high a temperature during the SARS as the boy was looking at hot babes, the literal and student’ version of the word “mug”, and the recalling of this fabulous performance by the year 1 captains. There was also this part where 2 Indian students, one singing monotonously, the other with the traditional Indian drums singing “Twinkle twinkle little star”, “It’s getting old in here” and “Shake that thing”. Everything was bloody funny and enjoyable.

Then I was feeling a little bored about going to the airport the study so I slack around for a while then go. But didn’t do mush.

Ok, I think I will just write to here, don’t know what to say already. Well, I wanted to call Zhao Yang today but in the end, well, think I will call tomorrow. Oh yeah, Priyanka also came to house to use the computer (partly the reason why I didn’t call) and also teach me how to delete a lot of programs etc to free up space so that I can install computer games for Zhao Yang to play when he wants to next year.
